PROGRAMME SCOPE

The biggest ever technological advancement this century has witnessed is making machines to think and act like human, engaging the science of Artificial Intelligence, powered by Data. AI driven by Data will be dominant in every aspect of human life with the scope for its application becoming limitless. Autonomous Vehicles, Virtual Assistants (Alexa, Siri), Domestic Assistants (maid robots), are some of the existing examples, while many are being developed every single day. The field of AI & DS is emerging as the most promising one for young engineers who have a flair for data and visualization.

LEARNING SCOPE

Students studying this programme will be able to design, develop and apply AI and DS based solutions to real world business challenges. The students will know to develop out insights with intellectual curiosity, by learning various technologies including Deep learning, Computer Vision, Data Science, Predictive Analytics, AR/VR, Natural Language Processing and Robotics, Software Technologies, OOPs and Database Management Systems.

Dr. G. Shobana is an accomplished academician and Associate Professor with over 18 years of experience and she holds a Ph.D. in Information and Communication Engineering from Anna University, Chennai, with research interests spanning machine learning, privacy-preserving algorithms in healthcare, cybersecurity, and cloud data security. She has successfully mentored student teams that excelled in prestigious national hackathons, including the NCB Darkathon by the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Devbhoomi Cyber Hackathon at IIT Roorkee, for AI-driven solutions addressing darknet and cybersecurity challenges. She has also secured competitive grants, including an AICTE Grant under the GOC Scheme and a DST IEDC grant for her work on intelligent farming, demonstrating her commitment to impactful and socially relevant innovation. Her scholarly portfolio includes various publications in peer-reviewed, IEEE, and Scopus-indexed journals. and she holds three patents in the areas of healthcare monitoring, LPG leakage detection, and voice recognition systems. Beyond her academic and research accomplishments, she served as the Vice President of the Alumni Association, where she played a pivotal role in strengthening alumni engagement, fostering industry-academia collaborations, and organizing outreach programs that enhance institutional visibility. She has successfully organized international and national conferences and holds a broad array of professional certifications, including Oracle Certified Java Professional, Dell EMC Certified Data Scientist, WIPRO TalentNext certifications in Java, AI/ML and Full Stack Development, and NPTEL Gold+Elite Top 1% in Python for Data Science—reflecting her strong commitment to continuous learning and academic excellence.

Dr.L. Raja has completed his undergraduate degree B.E- ECE in 2001, Postgraduate degree M.E. Applied Electronics in 2006 and Doctor of Philosophy in 2018. He has several International conference and reputed journalpublications like Elsevier, Wiley, Springer, Taylor and Francis, He is a life time member of ISTE, IEANG, SDIWC. Hereceived financial seminar grant from SERB and ISRO for Rs.3 Lakhs. He has 9 patent publications under his credit.He is also a recipient of 4 STAR awards from NPTEL-Swayam under the titles as Disciple STAR, Motivated Learners,NPTEL Domain Scholars, NPTEL Believers.

Dr. K. Mohaideen Abdul Kadhar earned his B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Bharath Institute of Science and Technology, Tamilnadu, India, in 2005, followed by an M. Tech in Control and Instrumentation from Thiagarajar College of Engineering, Madurai, in 2009. He completed his PhD at Thiagarajar College of Engineering from 2011 to 2015. Dr. Kadhar received both junior and senior research fellowships under the Maulana Azad National Fellowship (MANF) Scheme from the University Grants Commission (UGC), Delhi. Dr.Kadhar has authored more than 15 papers in high-impact factor journals and has published two books focusing on evolutionary optimization, robust controller design, and industrial vision systems. He has delivered numerous guest lectures on the application of Evolutionary Algorithms for various engineering applications and has chaired sessions at national and international conferences. Dr. Kadhar serves as a reviewer and guest editor for esteemed international journals including IEEE, IEEE Access, Applied Soft Computing, Soft Computing, and Artificial Intelligence Review journals. He has offered consultancy work for various industries, such as Sakthi Auto Components, Bi-metal Bearings, Syrma Technologies, and mokSa.ai, developing machine vision systems to meet their specific requirements. He has filed and published more than 5 patents, with one patent granted by the Indian Patent Office. His research interests include the development of new evolutionary algorithms, engineering optimization, multi-objective optimization, robust controller design, signal processing, deep learning , computer vision,data analytics, and wireless sensor networks.

Dr. S. Sheeba Rani leverages 20 years of experience in teaching excellence with majors in Embedded Systems and Engineering Education. With impactful research metrics of Scopus H-index 14 and over 800 citations, she has authored 12 books and holds 15 patents. She is a noted keynote speaker in Embedded Systems and Outcome-based Education in various AICTE/ISTE/TEQIP-sponsored Faculty development Programmes. She is a professional body member of IACSIT, IAENG and ISTE.

Dr. G. Sathish Kumar has completed his Ph.D. under the faculty of Information and Communication Engineering from Anna University, Chennai, in 2022 and received Supervisor recognition from Anna University, Chennai, in 2023. Prior to his doctoral studies, he obtained his Master’s degree and Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Anna University, Chennai. He has 9 years of teaching experience. He also worked as a Systems Engineer at TATA Consultancy Services (TCS), Chennai, for 1.2 years. Dr. G. Sathish Kumar’s research interests encompass Data Mining, Machine Learning, Soft Computing, Optimization Techniques and Cloud Computing. He has published 7 papers in reputed SCI journals (Elsevier and Springer) and 12 papers in Scopus indexed journals. He has published 2 book chapters. In addition, he published 4 patents. Dr. A. Sivaramakrishnan completed his Ph.D. in Computer Science at VELS University, Chennai, in 2015. He also worked as a Software Engineer at IBM India Pvt Ltd, Bangalore, for 2 years. Dr. A. Dr. M. P. Geetha has completed her Ph.D. in Information and Communication Engineering from Anna University, Chennai, in 2023, and received Supervisor recognition from Anna University in 2024. Prior to her doctoral studies, she obtained her Master’s degree with Distinction in Computer Science and Engineering and her Bachelor’s degree with Distinction in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. With over 13 years of teaching experience and 1.6 years of industry exposure, Dr. Geetha’s research interests include Text Analysis, Machine Learning and Deep Learning. She has more than 10 International and National publications, including those indexed in Scopus and SCI, published with esteemed publishers such as Elsevier and IOS Press. Dr.M.Nivaashini

Dr. M. Nivaashini holds a Ph.D. in Information and Communication Engineering from Anna University, Chennai, in 2022. Her bachelor’s degree with a top grade in computer science and engineering from Dr. Mahalingam College of Engineering & Technology, Pollachi, and her master’s degree with a gold medal in Biometrics & Cyber Security from PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore, both affiliated with Anna University, were awarded in 2017 and 2015 Teaching and research have taken 2.5 and 4.5 years, respectively. AI, IoT, Big Data Analytics, and Cyber Security are her research interests. She has 28 publications, including 3 book chapters, 16 international journals, 6 international conferences, and 3 national conferences. Springer, Wiley, Inderscience, Taylor & Francis, and Springer are among her publishers. Editing Wiley and Elsevier books was her job. Sri Eshwar College of Engineering’s SEED initiative awarded her Rs. 55,000/-. She earned Rs. 18,00,000 from AICTE for 2018–2021 FDPs and Guest Lectures. She has attended prestigious Indian institutions’ Faculty Development Programmes, Conferences, Workshops, and Guest Lectures. She has proposed to TNSCST, ATAL, ICMR, etc. In 2018, Zan Compute Pvt Ltd, Coimbatore paid her Rs. 12,00,000 for consultation work. She has completed 12 NPTEL courses with Elite + Gold grades in Introduction to R Software, Big Data Computing, Ethical Hacking, Cyber Security and Privacy, Introduction to Industry 4.0, and Industrial Internet of Things. She is the top mentor for NPTEL’s Cyber Security and Privacy course and a discipline star in computer science and engineering.She has received 1 patent grant in the year of 2024.

Dr.P.Dinesh Kumar

Dr.P.Dinesh Kumar has 12+ years’ experience in teaching and completed his Ph.D from Anna University, Chennai, specializing in Wireless Sensor Networks and Artificial Intelligence. He is having a total of 16 publications from reputed journals and conferences. His areas of interest include computer networking and Security, Artificial Intelligence and Wireless Sensor Networks. He has attended many technical workshops and FDPs and is a lifetime member of ISTE.

Dr T Kanimozhi has completed her Ph.D in the domain of deep learning on January 2024. Her areas of research are Machine learning and Deep learning. She has attended many International Conferences, and various national and international FDPs. She is a lifetime member of IET and ISTE

 

Dr.L.R.Sujithra

Dr. L. R. Sujithra has over 12 years of teaching experience and holds a Ph.D. from Anna University, Chennai, with a specialization in Machine Learning and Bioinformatics. Prior to her doctoral studies, she earned both her Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Computer Science and Engineering from Anna University. She has published four research papers in reputed SCI journals, including Elsevier and Springer, along with eight papers in Scopus-indexed journals and conference proceedings. Additionally, she has contributed two book chapters and filed four patents. Dr. Sujithra is a life member of professional societies such as ISTE and IETE, and she has also received a project grant under the TNSCST Student Project Scheme.

Mr.C.Rajeshkumar has over 11 years of teaching experience and 2years of industry
experience. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D in the field of Software Defined Radio
(SDR) under the Faculty of Information and Communication Engineering at Anna
University, Chennai. He obtained both his Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in
Computer Science and Engineering from Anna University, Chennai. His research
interests include Machine Learning and Deep Learning. He has Published 12 articles
in reputed journals also indexed at SCI and Scopus. Attended more than 10
international conferences (IEEE) also published articles. 2 Book chapters
published and its scopus indexed. Guided more than 100 students in a specialized
domain for their industry projects, especially students from Malaysia pahanag
uninersity student exchange program for previous experience. For Academics plays
so many roles like, tutor, mentor, placement coordinator, NBA coordinator, NAAC
Criteria5 overall college coordinator.
