PROGRAMME SCOPE

Computer Science Engineering with a specialization in Cyber Security addresses the rising demand for secure digital systems amid growing cyber threats. The program blends core computer science with advanced security skills to prepare students for real-world challenges. Graduates are equipped to combat AI-driven attacks, quantum risks, and global cyber warfare, ensuring resilient and secure digital environments.


LEARNING SCOPE

The Cyber Security curriculum is aligned with global standards, combining core computer science subjects with specialized training in areas like ethical hacking, cryptography, cyber forensics, and secure software development. Students gain hands-on experience in advanced labs, learn tools and techniques from global leaders like EC-Council. The program also builds expertise in programming (C, Python, Java Full Stack, MERN Stack) and covers key compliance frameworks such as GDPR, HIPAA, and ISO 27001. Delivered by industry-trained faculty, it equips students to tackle evolving cyber threats with confidence.

CAREER PROGRESSION

Graduates of this program are in high demand across MNCs, government agencies, and specialized cyber security firms. Career roles include Cyber Security Analyst, Ethical Hacker, Security Architect, and Cloud Security Engineer, among others. PROGRAMME DETAILS


  • PEO1: To prepare graduates for careers in cybersecurity, ensuring they can secure digital ecosystems effectively.
  • PEO2: To equip students with the ability to pursue higher studies, research, entrepreneurship, and leadership roles in cybersecurity.
  • PEO3: To enable students to develop innovative solutions for real-world cybersecurity challenges.


  • PO1: Engineering Knowledge: Apply knowledge of mathematics, natural science, computing, engineering fundamentals and an engineering specialization to develop the solution of complex engineering problems.
  • PO2: Problem Analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions with consideration for sustainable development.
  • PO3: Design/Development of Solutions: Design creative solutions for complex engineering problems and design/develop systems/components/processes to meet identified needs with consideration for public health and safety, whole-life cost, net zero carbon, culture, society, and environment as required.
  • PO4: Conduct Investigations of Complex Problems: Conduct investigations of complex engineering problems using research-based knowledge including design of experiments, modelling, analysis & interpretation of data to provide valid conclusions.
  • PO5: Engineering Tool Usage: Create, select and apply appropriate techniques, resources and modern engineering & IT tools, including prediction and modelling recognizing their limitations to solve complex engineering problems.
  • PO6: The Engineer and The World: Analyze and evaluate societal and environmental aspects while solving complex engineering problems for its impact on sustainability with reference to economy, health, safety, legal framework, culture, and environment.
