Dr. P. John Augustine combines over a decade of experience in the IT industry with 15 years in education, currently leading the Department of Information Technology. He earned his Ph.D. in CSE from Anna University in 2018. Dr. Augustine’s research spans Cloud Computing, Web Technology, Mobile Computing Networking, Software Development Life Cycle models, IT Infrastructure Service, and Business models.
An active member of ISTE, he has contributed significantly to academia with 12 papers in Scopus-indexed journals, 6 patents, and 2 book chapters. His research includes Machine Learning-Based Massive Leaf Falling Detection for efficient waste disposal management and Blockchain for Vendor-Management Inventory, employing Chaotic Whale Optimization. Dr. Augustine also coordinates MOOCs at the institution as the NPTEL SPOC and Swayam SPOC.
