Dr.M.MohammedMustafa

Dr. M. Mohammed Mustafa (B.Tech (IT), M.E (CSE), MBA, Ph.D) is a renowned academician, researcher, and an academic leader with more than 17 years’ experience in engineering education. He is currently a Professor and Head of Department and works in Data Science, Machine Learning, Wireless Sensor Networks, IoT, Mobile Computing, and Network Security. In 2019, he received a Ph.D. in Information and Communication Engineering at Anna University with a specialization in the Wireless Sensor Networks and also an M.E. in Computer Science Engineering, MBA in HR and Finance with SLET in lectureship. Dr. Mustafa has also contributed much to research works by writing many articles in SCI and SCOPUS indexed journals, such as Springer, other publishers that have a good reputation internationally. He has also presented his work in IEEE international conferences and published it in IEEE Xplore. He has also written book chapters in some of the most known international publications and is a peer reviewer in renowned journals. He is also an indexed researcher in the Web of Science, Scopus, and ORCID and was a Ph.D. examiner and viva voice panel. His work mainly deals with energy-efficient communication, IoT-based, and wireless body sensor network, and applied machine learning.

Dr. Mustafa has been a key participant in the processes of NBA and NAAC accreditation as the IQAC and Program Coordinator, guaranteeing the quality standards of the institution. He has spearheaded departmental Research and Development, coordinated the activities of the Institution Innovation Council, and organized national and international conferences, seminars, workshops and innovation activities. He has also been employed in important university roles such as University Examination Representative and Central Valuation contributor with Anna University. A successful facilitator, he has supervised more than 230 undergraduate and postgraduate student projects and always recorded high academic outcomes, including being recognised as having 100% pass rates in theory subjects. He engages in student mentoring actively to get them ready to placements and professional careers with a combination of innovative teaching-learning strategies and practical learning techniques.

Dr. Mustafa has various professional qualifications such as AI for Future Workforce (Intel), Oracle Certified Professional- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Cisco Programming Essentials in Python, and various Data Science, Generative AI, NLP, IoT, and Network Security certifications. As a person with a great combination of academic perfection, research novelty, accreditation experience, and student guidance, Dr. M. Mohammed Mustafa still does a lot to improve the further development of engineering education and research based on technology.
