PROGRAMME SCOPE

In today’s context, human life without electricity and electronic appliances is simply unimaginable. Human civilization has seen a great development with the invention of electricity. As we develop more and more gadgets to automate our activities, the field of electrical and electronics engineering becomes more and more exciting. With the faster depletion of fossil fuels and with the advent of electric vehicles and solar powered systems and the extensive industrial automation that takes place, the study of electrical & electronics engineering is gaining substantial significance with larger number of students choosing to study.

LEARNING SCOPE

At Sri Eshwar, in the program of EEE, we strive to develop world class electrical and electronics engineers, by teaching them Internet of Things (IOT), Electronic Design and Automation, Robotics, Industrial Automation, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Image Processing, Wireless Technologies, E-Vehicles, Design and Manufacture of Special Purpose Machines and the need of the hour Renewable Energy Solutions and tools like ECAD,MATLAB etc., In addition to the above the students are also provided exposure to software courses like Database Management System, OOPs Concepts, Java Technologies.

With many countries rapidly shifting to electric vehicles and increase in demands in the energy sector, Electrical and Electronics engineering students have abundant opportunities with high demand in power generation, transportation, medical electronics, communication, aerospace, automation and process industries. Electrical and Electronics graduates can also serve in government organizations, public sector companies and private industries. For this field of engineering, sky is the limit.

PROGRAMME DETAILS

  • PEO1: Graduates will take up careers in Electrical and Electronics Engineering like design and manufacture of Electrical and Electronic and its related systems and involve in carrying out engineering projects related to societal issues.
  • PEO2: Graduates will engage in a post graduate program in the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering Sciences and Management Sciences leading to academic and research careers.

  • PO1: Engineering Knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
  • PO2: Problem Analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.

Dr.V.Chandrasekaran, served in various leading Engineering institutions from thelevel of instructor to the Head of the Department. He has successfully faced NBA and NAAC accreditation committee wherever he worked.He has developed a new model of three phase induction machine for energy conservation, performance improvement and Power quality improvement.

Dr.D.Gunapriya ,is an Associate Professor in the department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering with over 18 years of experience. She has an extensive publication record , including 32 technical articles , 6 patents and 3 book chapters. Her research interests encompass Power Electronics and Drives , Electric Vehicles and Intelligent Control. She actively serves as reviewer for reputed Journals and holds lifetime memberships with ISTE and IETE.. Her commitment to academic excellence and leadership in various accreditation and quality assurance processes have significantly contributed to the advancement of the department.

Dr.M.Geetha

Dr. M. Geetha is an Assistant Professor (Selection Grade) in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering with 16 years of extensive teaching experience. Obtained UG Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering  and PG Degree with specialization in Power Electronics & Drives. Awarded with Doctorate in the year 2023 from Anna University, Chennai. Her research area includes Power Electronics and Drives, Renewable energy and embedded systems. She has published more than 20 research articles in various journals, authored 2 Books in the field of Renewable Energy, published 5 patents including 1 patent grant in design. She is an active life time member in ISTE, IETE and IGEN.

Dr.P.Anbarasu

M.E, Ph.D

Control Engineering, Autonomous Vehicle, Nature Inspired Algorithms, Machine Learning, Integration of Renewable Energy

Dr P Anbarasu completed his Doctor of Philosophy from Anna University, Chennai, India. PG Degree in Power Electronics and Drives and UG in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. His current research focuses on Integration of Renewable Energy Systems in the Smart Grid and Autonomous Vehicle. He has 2 years of industrial experience and 13 years of academic and research experiences. He has published 32 research articles in various journals  He has completed 4 Government of India funded research projects, 2 Government of Tamil Nadu funded projects and 1 Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project. He has 1 patent to his credit. He is a Member of ISTE, SSI and IAENG . Also he has organized various FDPs, conferences, Workshops and seminars. He has completed 6 NPTEL courses successfully and received NPTEL Top performing mentor recognition from IIT Madras.

 

Dr.N.Pushpalatha

Dr.N.Pushpalatha is an Assistant Professor (Selection Grade) in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, obtained her UG Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering in 2009 and PG Degree with specialization in Power Electronics and Drives in the year 2013. Awarded with Doctoral Degree in  Electrical Engineering  from Anna University Chennai in 2024.  She is an active life time member in ISTE and IETE. Graduate Member in IEEE. She has acted as Technical Program Committee member, session chair and  reviewer for various international and national conferences in India and Abroad. Authored and published more than 40 research articles in various journals, published 14 patents including 1 Design patent grant. Participated as resource person in   “NSTEDB DST Government of India EDII, Ahmedabad Funded Women Entrepreneurship Development Program”  consecutively for four years. Acted as Project Evaluator for  “Toycathon 2021” organized by the Innovation Cell, Ministry of Education, New Delhi. 

 

Mr.B.Hemananth

Mr. B. Hemananth obtained his UG Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and PG Degree with specialization in Power Electronics and Drives. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D at Anna University, Chennai. His research work includes fault classification, machine learning and renewable energy. He has published 9 research articles in various journals and 2 patents. Authored 1 book in High Voltage Engineering.. He is a trainer for the Suryamitra program organized by National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE), New Delhi. He is a life member in ISTE, IAENG and IGEN.

Mr.R.Premkumar

Mr.R.Premkumar received his BE Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Bannari Amman Institute of Technology in 2007 and Post Graduate Degree in Control Systems from PSG College of Technology in 2009. He cleared the GATE Exam in 2007. He is pursuing his Doctorate Degree in Anna University, Chennai. His research areas include Control Systems, Power Systems and Digital Electronics. He is Life time member in ISTE and IETE. He has published 10 research articles in various journals and 4 patents. He is technical trainer in PLC and Industrial Automation.

Mr.S.Sheikameer Batcha

ME., (Ph.D)

Mr. Sheikameer Batcha completed his UG Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering  and PG Degree in with specialization in Power Electronics and Drives. He is currently pursuing his PhD at Anna University, Chennai. He has been honored as an Innovation Ambassador by the Ministry of Education through the Institution Innovation Council (IIC). He is a certified trainer for Solar PV Installation, accredited by the Skill Council for Green Jobs, and a Master Trainer in “Foundation Skills in Integrated Product Development,” certified by Anna University and NASSCOM. He is also a trainer in “Design Thinking” certified by the School of Design. He has  published 14 research articles in various  journals. He is a life member in ISTE and IGEN. Contributed in establishing a Centre of Excellence in Embedded System and Automation.

Mr.R.Hariharan

Mr.R.Hariharan obtained his UG Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering in 2006 and PG Degree with specialization in Embedded System Technologies in 2012. He is currently pursuing his PhD Research program in the area of Embedded Systems in Anna University Chennai. He has specialization in Implanted Frameworks Advances, with an emphasis on ML AND IOT. He has published 4 research articles in various journals. Contributed in establishing a Centre of Excellence in Embedded System and Automation. Also, he is a certified licensed holder for small scale Drones. 

 

Mr.K.Raj Thilak

Mr.K.Raj Thilak obtained UG Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering in the year 2011 and PG Degree with specialization in Energy Engineering in the year 2013. Currently pursuing his Doctoral program in Vel Tech Rangarajan Dr.Sagunthala R&D Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai. His research area includes Renewable Energy, Alternative Fuels, Electric Vehicle and Energy Management. He has published 15 research articles in various journals. Life time member in ISTE and IGEN. Assisted in carrying out consultancy activities in Energy Auditing for various industries & institutions and completed over 30 consultancy activities so far.

 

Mr.C.Mohan Raj

Mr.C.Mohan Raj obtained his UG degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and PG Degree with specialization in Power Electronics and Drives..He is currently pursuing  his PhD in Faculty of Electrical Engineering from PSG College of Technology, Anna University. He has completed 5 certified courses in Embedded Systems and Industrial Automation. He is the authorized trainer for the Mitsubishi ATC for PLC and Industrial Automation. Successfully completed 3 IEDC Funded projects and organized ATAL FDP on Topic “ Robotics – The Machine Power for Industrial Automation”. He has acted as resource person for various programs related to Industrial Automation for academic and industrial persons He has published 10 research articles in various journals and  6 patents. Authored 3 books. He is a life member in ISTE, IAENG and IGEN. He has created and uploaded more than 100 Educational Videos in Youtube channel  “Learn Electrical Concepts and Mathematics” and received more than 2.3 K Subscribers so far.
